Cleaning your kitchen can take a lot of your time away. But don’t worry because there are several cleaning tips and tricks out there that can help you to clean your kitchen in 10 minutes (or even less!). These tips and tricks won’t give you a deeply cleaned kitchen, but it’s an amazing daily exercise as it will ensure that your kitchen never gets unmanageable.

Step #1: Get all your products and cloths together

This is more important than you think it is: having all your cloths and products together will help you to clean everything a lot quicker. Make sure you’re having all the appropriate products to hand so that you don’t have to waste precious time sourcing the items you need to clean.

Step #2: Put rubbish straight away in the bin, don’t leave it in your kitchen

By checking the kitchen and throwing away rubbish, you will soon notice a remarkable difference in your kitchen. When you removed all the rubbish, you’re able to clean without any obstructions.

Step #3: Put everything away in the cupboards

In order to be able to clean your kitchen properly, you need to make sure that everything has been put away and is all tidied up. By putting away the things that are cluttering the surfaces this will immediately make the kitchen look tidier.

Step #4: Fill your washing up bowl with warm soapy water

Once everything on the surfaces has been removed, find all your dirty dishes in the kitchen (and elsewhere in the house) and put them in your washing bowl to soak.

While your dishes are in your washing bowl to soak, use your time wisely and start wiping down all your surfaces. Use a disinfectant and most importantly a clean cloth and your surfaces will be sparkling in no time! If you have a few minutes to spare you could also clean your microwave and clean the hob.

Step #6: Wash up your dishes by hand or use the washing machine

Now you need to wash the dishes that have been soaking in the washing bowl. This can be done by hand or by simply loading them into the dishwasher. In the perfect situation, the dishwasher has already been emptied in the morning but if not, this can be done during step 4.

Step #7: Sweep or vacuum the floor

Depending on how dirty the kitchen floor is, now is the right time to give it a quick sweep, mop or vacuum. Make sure that if you mop the floor that you leave enough time for it to dry, as otherwise, it will become dirty again.

Step #8: Take the bins out

During step #2, you’ve filled your bin up with rubbish, so always remember to empty the bins and to replace the bin with a fresh liner. By doing this, you will ensure that your kitchen will not smell dirty.

Step #9: Replace your towels

Congrats! You’ve almost finished your high-speed kitchen cleaning process. Now the finishing touches are important. Make sure you replace your dirty towels with a clean one. It will definitely contribute to a fresher-feeling kitchen.

Remove trapped hair or other objects out of the drain

First, you need to remove all the hair and other objects that got trapped into your drain. The best way to do this is by using a bendable plastic drain stick; it’s the easiest and fastest way because it’s bendable and grabs on to pull hair and pulls it out.

Use Baking soda, vinegar and boiling water.

Pour some baking soda down the drain and let it sink in for a little while. After that, pour some vinegar into the drain and rinse everything with boiling water.

Don’t forget to clean the plug!

That stinky smell could also be caused by the gunk that has been build up in the drain plug. So always make sure you also clean out the drain plug! It could be saving you a part of the foul smell.

If your sink still remains to be smelly after following the steps above, it could be possible that something may be caught into your sink’s pipe. You could remove the things that are trapped in there yourself, but if you don’t want to take that risk it may be a great idea to call for a plumber to help you out.

How to remove stains from Halloween :

So it’s that time of year again, when we all done costumes for office parties and our children are ready to go trick-or-treating. The tradition in the UK for All Hallows’ Eve may not be as strong and as celebrated as our American friends, yet when the celebrations are over and normal services resume to start November, you’re left with all the mess to clean up. Here are some tips on how to remove stains from Halloween.

Pumpkin stains:

If you’re partial to a few sculpted pumpkins around the office, you’re probably aware of the nasty stains they can cause. A common mistake is leaving them out for too long. Until they start to get mouldy, or placing them in areas where they are easily knocked over. Either way you’re going to end up with a stain so you’ll need to be prepared to clean it up. The polyphenolic pigments in pumpkin, which give it the all familiar bright orange exterior, are also responsible for producing very stubborn fabric stains. Unfortunately there is no magic solution once a stain has been embedded in carpet or any other fabric. However, a combination of stain pre-treatment, soap-free laundry detergent, white vinegar and rubbing alcohol should do the trick. Remember, as with any fabric stain, always test a small area first and if successful, carry it out across the whole stain.

Eggs :

The act of egging is prominent in the form of protest, so it’s not surprising that it’s the bane of many people’s lives when it comes to Halloween, when children are determined to throw them at any surface they’ll stick to. They may seem harmless, but when left to dry they can actually corrode paint surfaces and can continue to cause damage when being cleaned.

To best way to remove egg that is still wet, is to get a pressure washer. However, when dry, the better approach would be warm water. And in the spirit of environmental cleaning – one part vinegar and a little bit of washing up liquid will give great results without the use of powerful chemicals. Always remember to remove shells so they don’t scratch any surfaces and be careful to loosen the egg before scrubbing away to avoid further damage to paint and facades.

Foam:

It may not be the type to leave a stain, but on certain surfaces and left too long. You don’t want to be left with any surprises. Grab a power washer or an abrasive sponge along with some environmentally-friendly multipurpose cleaner.

Fake Blood :

If you find any fake blood that you’ve used from any Halloween outfit, don’t worry. Simply rub alcohol will remove any dye from fabrics as well as hard surfaces.

Chocolate stains:

If you find any chocolate stains left on your sofa or furniture then start by scraping it off the fabric with a dull knife or plastic spoon. Use 1 tablespoon of liquid dish detergent mixed with 2 cups of cold water to gently wash the area. Change out your cleaning cloth as it becomes dirty. It can take quite a while to finally remove the stain. As a last resort, test dry-cleaning solvent on a hidden area of the sofa.
